North Carolina Road Trip, Part 1

A few quick pictures before I pass out from exhaustion. First, thanks to everyone for a great trip!

Our guide for the last two days, Jeremy on his Bandersnatch wearing the Canada Jersey (a small token from the BRR folks who benefitted from his hospitality):

Lenny fording a stream in the Pisgah. Note the aura of calmness reflecting his complete confidence that he wasn't going to have to spend the night in the forest completely lost, cold, wet, and fending off covert advances from Anthony:

Lenny may have been a bit too optimistic. Here is the end of that ride, almost seven hours after it began:

And I still don't know what this is:

I can't say enough about the service at Liberty Bicycles in Asheville.
Time for some recovery scotch.
Cheers,
P

King: is the t-shirt soaked in scotch? I *would* love that. I'll post the video of your drop in the next couple of days. Came out nice.

Hey, how did I get promoted to "Dr." in the Roster list? Is it because you all decided I should have a Ph.D in mountain biking?

Gents and the Lady,

I had a awesome time showing all of you around. I heard the silent and sometimes vocal curses :) during our rides but hopefully my joyful spirit and just maybe a few pieces of singletrack goodness made up for it. Thanks so much for my Canadian swag and the lunch and dinner for the family. Hopefully I can make it up to Kingdom to ride some of the northern stuff with you soon and of course when ever your in town wether it be North Carolina or Virginia my knowledge of the area is always open for your use. Pics will be up on my blog soon(they are already on my Flickr site which an be accessed through the blog) and BTW: Doc Spider, Thats a Jabberwocky I twas riding. The Frumious Bandersnatch is hiding in the stable awaitin new gears.

Cheers Folk and keep it in the dirt!

Thanks to Craig, Mark, Tanya and Gilles for doing my share of cleaning, it was good to get on the road early because of it.

Thanks for all the photos because my picture taking abilities suck!

Thanks Jeremy for the great selection of singletrack and thanks Stef for backing out so I could go! ;)

I would like to thank everyone for a fantastic trip and for keeping cool heads on the "adventurous" Friday ride. It says a lot about the character of the team.

Special thanks to Lenny for pills that really worked. However, now that I am off them, my back is killing me!!

Carl!
