Riley's on a 2007 Brodie Menance. Awesome rig for $700 Cdn including taxes.
It's a nice burly alumium hardtail that uses 24" tires - in this case Tioga DH 2.3". Also spec'd is a 4" Marzocchi fork and 6" mechanical discs. Bash ring on the outside (wonder how Brodie anticipated this bike to be used) with a middle and granny and a 7 speed cog.
I definitely recommend it for parents considering a 'serious' MTB for their kids aged 8-12
New 'issue' came up yesterday when emailing Adam of Chico regarding next year's Epic 8 series.
He won't let Riley race in his series due to his age. :-( Liability concerns are the main reason (which as a family member to a large business - I completely understand).
I contact OCA directly to see if they could help and I need to email them a request which they'll take to their competition committee.
I'm also looking into the option of a special waiver etc...

Lenny, if you were wondering "where" he was riding, it was coming off of Boink Point heading towards the bridges.

Craig, you know me too well... It looks like a huge drop from the picture, must be the angle and/or size of Riley, either way I'm not worthy!!!
